Hello,

I've finally upgraded to 8.5.1 (from 7.1) and was curious to try out the remote executable debugging feature, but I was dismayed by how my very simplistic trial VI crashed and burned. I haven't seen any similar posts around here, so I was curious whether people are not using this feature, or are having better luck. I've attached a vi and it's executable which cause problems repeatedly. I should mention this is on WINXP. The steps are:

1. launch executable
2. Launch remote debugger (either on same machine or remotely)
3. Access block diagram
4. create probes on the millisecond multiple and the numeric.
5. close and re-create the probes one at a time
6. within a very short period of doing this, the probes will start to read 0, and the front panel will not update. Closing the VI creates a system error.

Any ideas?
