Michael,
I haven't spent much time in online forums, so I hadn't appeciated how much the interface really impacts the usefulness and usability of the forum. I've seen enough of NI's forum to realize that I prefer reading and navigating LAVA, but it was recent experiences (or lack thereof) in Matlab's user community that really make me appreciate what you've done with LAVA.
Matlab's community forum uses a web-based newsgroup. There is no breaking things down by subject area, as is done here; all of the posts end up in one long list, and you just have to hope that someone sees and responds to your question before it gets pushed so far down the list that it never sees daylight again. It makes me understand why newbies sometimes come here and repost after a few days.
The experience of trying unsuccessfully to get answers on that forum makes me really appreciate what you've set up here.
Thanks,
Gary

Thanks for the kind words.

It's time consuming to moderate new posts and make sure they fall into the proper category but I feel it's worth the effort. It sounds like at least someone else thinks so too. smile.gif

Thank you also for the phrasing "There are no friends to display" in the new profile screen. It's so much nicer than "You have no friends" laugh.gif

Oh - I thought the new update actually polled the people I know...
