Hi there!

Im new to LabVIEW and have some questions about signal generation. Im trying to generate sine on my daq6259. Frequency range should be from 50-7000Hz.

Im also wondering why my input measurment of voltage doesnt show 0V. its never the same. sometimes 3V sometimes driffting slowly to -10.5.

Im using LV8.20.

Thank you for your help

One starting point would be in the examples folder:
examples\DAQmx\Analog Out\Generate Voltage.llb\Cont Gen Voltage Wfm-Ext Clk-Dig Start.vi
This example can be found through the example finder in LabVIEW.

You could also use the "sin" control on the trig pallet.

As to the analogue inputs floating, do you have them terminated or are they just open circuit?

Thank you for your help. But i already managed to produce signals. I havent tested it yet on outputs though. I used Simulate Signal box and conect it to DAQ Assistant which is properly set up.

But my inputs still dont work like they should. they are open circuits(if that means not conected to anything). any idea??

Inputs with open circuits are expected to float and drift around, sometimes pegging at the +/- rails. Try connecting a battery or shorting the input leads on a channel together. You should read the battery voltage, and with a shorted input you should read 0 volts.
