| This is a client used in the oil and gas industry to access a sand monitoring system (sand particles cause a lot of problems on their way up from the reservoir...). Ultrasonic intelligent sensors are installed on each flowline and a server application (running on a PAC or PC) retrieves measurements from the sensors together with process data from other sources. The sand flow rates and other process data are then logged - and with this client multiple simultaneous users can access the trends and events and reconfigure the system remotely. VI cloning is used a lot in this client, e.g. to enable the users to have as many trend windows open as they would like. Event logs are linked to the trends so double clicking an event will give you the related trends at the time of the event. |
