Hi,
How to enable the property "BlockDiagram" to be made visible in Property nodes for Labview version 8.2 onwards. The string "SuperPrivateScriptingFeatureVisible=True" in the ini file (which works with LabVIEW 7.X) does not seem to be working? Can anybody reply me with some answers -------------------- Regards

You're right - it doesn't work with LabVIEW 8.x. If you want to do scripting, you need to contact NI to get a license for it. That said, you can still use the key in LabVIEW 7.x, then open the code in 8.x and it'll still be there. -------------------- ![]()

If you want to do scripting, you need to contact NI to get a license for it. But don't bother actually contacting NI. You won't be able to get such a license. It isn't for sale.

But there were a couple of tools posted which allow you to access private properties in 8.x. Try searching Aitor Solar's posts.

NI INDIA is of no help. They dont know anything about it And they shouldn't. It's very unlikely for NI to mention anything about possible future features of Labview. However there is the Property Method Selector. That should help you. Ton --------------------

NI INDIA is of no help. They dont know anything about it Any other way of doing it other than importing from LabVIEW 7.X By the way Chris, do u remember me ? The only people really knowing about this are in the LabVIEw development team at NI corporate. And no that license is not for sale! You need to have a very strong case and good connections that anyone at NI will even acknowledge that there is something like such a possibility. I would expect maybe three or so Alliance members worldwide being allowed to use that feature. And no we are not one of them, I use the other methods mentioned elsewhere on this forum for the few times I happen to have time to dig deeper into this. Rolf Kalbermatter

NI INDIA is of no help. They dont know anything about it That doesn't surprise me at all - it's a feature that's closely gaurded by NI, and not something that's in the catalog (which is often the only products that your local office will know about). You need to have a very strong business case, and an even stronger relationship with NI to get access. That said, the method of writing in 7.x and opening in 8.x works perfectly, so not having native access to it in 8.x is more of an inconvienience rather than a show-stopper. By the way Chris, do u remember me ? I sure do! Do you remember me? -------------------- ![]()
