Hi,
I just wanted you to know that we have recently changed our T&M Database Product from a paid license to a free product. The only limitation is that it can only work with MS Access Databases and has no support. There is no limit in the amount of development licenses, functionality, distribution or usage period. You can request the T&M Database Wizard Student Edition 2.4 at the following page. http://www.tm-solutions.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=57 Our motivation is: -Get more developers the explore the power of database with Test & Measurement applications -Have more developers using our products -Maybe you are interested in the T&M Database Wizard Professional 3.0 (Support all platforms like Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, DB2, etc.) For the dutch people: Bezoek ook onze Nederlandstalige LabVIEW Usergroup: www.lvug.nl Greets, Arnoud de Kuijper T&M Solutions BV www.tm-solutions.nl

Hey,
Is there any LabVIEW database user that is willing to share their experiences with this product? or maybe with using databases in general? With kind regards, Arnoud de Kuijper Hi,

Hey, Is there any LabVIEW database user that is willing to share their experiences with this product? or maybe with using databases in general? With kind regards, Arnoud de Kuijper hmm ... maybe the response to your solution is so small, because there are already 2 (or more?) established free Database toolkits for LabVIEW. The first I know is LabSQL from Jeffrey Travis the second one is the one I wrote: ADO-Toolkit (the link is in my signature) which supports (for free) and is tested with: Access, Excel, MSSQL, mySQL and should support (but not yet tested) Oracle and any other Database which can be connected through ODBC. Last but not least, if you need support (and want to pay for the product): The Database Connectivity Toolset from NI. I can only speak for myself:I have about 400 - 500 Downloads per month since 2006, the ADO-Toolkit exists since 2005. So I'd consider my toolkit as a renowned LV-Database Toolkit => I think it would be really hard to establish a paid / free but limited alternative to this 3 products ... --------------------

Hello i2dx,
I downloaded your ADO-toolkit (version 1.7.0.b) but found that it doesn't work very well with your own examples. For instance, in example 2, I would get a "Exception occured in Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" error. I had to add a decrement-by-1 into the For loop of case structure '2' in ADOTool_Select Data Simple.vi to fix that. In example 2 and 3, even though the select statement asks for all three fields, only the data from two would show up. In example 4 and 5, I'm getting another "Exception occured in Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" but I don't have the time to troubleshoot further. Do you have a working version of your toolkit? Thanks, Ron This post has been edited by sprezzaturon: Mar 20 2008, 05:17 PM
