Did anyone ever talk to the old LTR folks about releasing some of thier stuff so we could put it here?

LTR now stands for long term relationship. How ironic.

is there any way to retrieve some of the articles from the original LTR? i found quite a bit of references to those articles, but never managed to find anything. no hidden repository?

As far as I know there were never electronic documents distributed nor made with the exception of the last news letter that was distributed as PDF instead of on paper. The CD-Roms you could buy did contain the LabVIEW VIs and such but I don't think any electronic forms of the actual printed newsletter.

As to distributing those VIs and code that came with the newsletters (on disks first and then CD-ROM) I'm afraid there is no legal possibility for that. Unless the people from LTR themselves come out and offer those resources, anybody doing that on his/her own would be violating copyright laws in doing so. I'm glad however to have a mostly complete backup archive of those libraries although quite a lot of it doesn't apply to modern LabVIEW versions very much anymore.

Or we could just get Google to scan the articles and then make the copyright holder request that the scanned documents be taken down (if they choose to).
