Hello everyone,

I wanted to start a thread to discuss the process used to report LabVIEW bugs and track them. This process should be captured on the wiki page, LabVIEW Bug Reporting.

The goals of this process would be...
  • Provide a clear step-by-step process that LabVIEW users can follow to
    • help them do a better job of reporting bugs
    • make it easier for them to report bugs
  • Capture more bugs
  • Make the LAVA bug forum topics more organized and consistent
  • Capture a CAR number for each bug so that we can close the loop with National Instruments
    • LabVIEW Champions have a way of adding CAR Numbers to a list and periodically receive bug status updates for items on the list.
How can we improve the bug reporting and tracking process?
