When I select the item from the ring constant, and LabVIEW puts it's value to New VI Object VI, then the vi which path connected to Owner path would create a new VI object depend on what I selected in the ring.
So I want to know what defines the item's vale. For example , When I select "Waveform Chart" from the ring, LabVIEW should put it's value----21010 to New VI Object VI, what decide the Waveform Chart's counterpart value? the control's Class ID? or type Description? or others?

Hi Keiran
First a reminder. Scripting is not support by NI and is not complete at this time. There are a lot of thing on can not do. Now, what exactly are you trying to do ? are you trying to set the value after you create the waveform chart ? Or are you trying to figure out where that 21010 come from ? or something else ? Sorry that I can not be more hopefull at that time. PJM --------------------
