Anybody can tell me that how to do the following things in labview?

Basically, I need a n dimension array which can take as much data as user inputs, after a few calculations, each entry in the array will refer to a number. At last the program can

plot them on a graph whose x-axis stands for the data, and y-axis stands for result.

Cause I am a student, teacher throw this question to me without any instruction, I need some help.

Your comment seems a little harsh, but I have to admit that I'm not really understanding what the OP describes. Must be my poor English I guess.

Yes, do a search on build array, shift register, x-y graph, whatever! I am just a rookie, you all can say what you like, but don't forget you also grew up from a student.

Why not tell me to do a search in google? Everything need a beginning, don't be so pride. Still thanks that you tell me the great help by using "search" something in the LabVIEW help

The keywords I asked you to search for are components used in building the solution.
Based on the fragment of information you gave me in your original post, I was able to come up with something...

Make sure to quote your sources in your school report. LAVA Forums... ya right.

Everytime a new semester begins it is the same.

I definitely remember being a student.

It is my fervent hope that your instructors will insist that you do your own work so if I hire you or am required to work with you, you will be accustomed to figuring out complicated problems on your own (this one does not qualify). And without a lot of wah-wah-ing.

You will detect a certain irritation from people who had a common experience in progamming courses: lot's of people cheat. By that I mean they do not do their own work, but depend on others to make the learning process as simple and useless as possible. They trade programs and tweak them to make them look like their own work.

Those of us that struggeld through these experiences on their own wits and hard work can get testy about it. It seems smart at the time to some, but it is an approach that will not hold you in good stead outside the university - or in it if your professors give a hoot. I know if I was teaching LabVIEW I would be monitoring LAVA and the other forums.

Think about it. If I were you I would throw out the VI that Michael gave you as the hot potatoe that it is. Way to much risk submitting that for a grade.

When you are not in a class, when you are not getting graded against people that do their own work, you can expect a different reception when asking questions - if you make a good faith effort to find out on your own before asking. In the case of these forums you give something back too, instead of dropping out of sight a semester later. The other alternative is if you pay lot's of money for good tech support.

Mike

So it is. The LAVA GUI keeps putting these little teasers at the bottom of the page and I pick this one. I should have looked at the date.
