I am seeing the same thing. The reason seems to be a missing ActiveX class or control. Was there a dll file that came with the LabVIEW code? If so, try to register it with windows, restart LabVIEW, and see if it works.

Sorry, but I am unable to open the zip file.
As for Excel, from the document it looks like this is they way to use it in Excel. You would have to do the similar thing in LabView to use it. Namely right click the ActiveX Refnum on the front panel and choose Select ActiveX class -> Browse...

In the ActiveX Class Browser click on Browse... and navigate to the dll.

Hope that helps.
