I'd like to have a few classes on an embedded app. Is anyone using Endevo GOOP or anything else on LVRT?

Hi Chris
Depends on the LabVIEW version as well
LVOOP - No (although AQ has pointed out not for long - search thru his latest postings on LV8.6)
Endevo switched to using LVOOP in 8.5 so anything pre- will work on the RT
Sciware doesn't used LVOOP so it will be good! Probably your best bet for 8.5.
DQGOOP - have not used but apperently based on queues so it should work.

See here as this was asked before in the OOP forum

Once you make a decision get it touch with the supplier for more info.

Cheers

JG Thanks for the link, I !@#$%^ searched but did not find anything.

My app has an asynch part and a deterministic part so I don't need deterministic classes. I've used the original Endevo LabVIEW 6.1 toolkit before I might just go with that. Thanks again.

Clarification about Endevo tools and RT.
Endevo GOOP Development Suite is the newest toolkit we have and it runs on LabVIEW 8.2.1 and up. It uses the lvclass to provide the GOOP 3 by ref model and therefore it will not run on RT.

For RT we have the GOOP Inheritance Tookit which uses the GOOP2 class model with inheritance and virtual methods. GOO2 is not based on lvclass and will run on RT. GOOP 2 runs on LabVIEW 6.1 and newer LabVIEW versions. If there are compatibility issues we release updated class templates to keep GOOP 2 classes compatible with new LabVIEW versions.

And we have a UML tool both for GOOP 2 and GOOP 3.

Thanks,
Jan

I have used dqGOOP under RT and it does work. This was under LabVIEW 7.1.1, so I'm not sure if things have changed since then.
